  • Department Manager

    • Location: GOLARS LLC – Indianapolis, IN
    • Job Description: Plan, direct and co-ordinate the operations of a business, division, department or operating unit. Plan and maintain systems and procedures for operating efficiency. Manage staff for optimum performance.

    • Roles and Responsibilities
      • Determine staffing requirements and notify H/R of any upcoming changes that will be required
      • Assist in the hiring and training of new staff
      • Supervise direct reporting staff according to overall company policy
      • Apply strategic planning to determine company, department or unit objectives
      • Set employee goals and objectives
      • Develop staff to maximize potential

  • Field Technician

    • Location: GOLARS LLC – Indianapolis, IN
    • Job Description: The Field Technician will conduct required sampling and monitoring of site-specific objectives. This position will also submit samples for testing, analyze trends and build charts that represent the findings. This position may also evaluate, maintain and make repairs to monitoring wells on site.

    • Roles and Responsibilities
      • Collect soil, groundwater and vapor samples for laboratory analysis in prescribed manner
      • Well purging and development
      • Decontamination and site clean up
      • Taking precision measurement
      • Manage waste derived from remediation systems, including recovered oil, sludge, activated carbon, filter paper, and personal protection equipment (PPE) in accordance with project requirements
      • Provide detailed status of remediation equipment to project managers
      • Keep precise and very detailed records of events and actions taken on site
      • Must have the ability to follow directions to great detail
      • Accurate documentation on spacing and distances of monitoring wells
      • Open and close valves, circuit breakers, and control panel switches as required for proper system operation and isolation of energy sources
      • Troubleshoot and resolve issues found during sampling
      • Transfer lab results to spreadsheet to develop trends

    • Educations and Experience
      • Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, geology, or engineering a plus
      • Trade school apprenticeships or certificates
      • Must possess a valid driver’s license in the state of residence

      • OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER Training,
      • OSHA 8 Hour HAZWOPER Refresher Training,

  • Staff Scientist

      • Analyze and interpret geological, geochemical, or geophysical information from sources such as survey data, well logs, boreholes, or aerial photos.
      • Plan or conduct geological, geochemical, or geophysical field studies or surveys, sample collection, or drilling and testing programs used to collect data for research or application.
      • Prepare geological maps, cross-sectional diagrams, charts, or reports concerning mineral extraction, land use, or resource management, using results of fieldwork or laboratory research.
      • Analyze and interpret geological data, using computer software.
      • Investigate the composition, structure, or history of the Earth’s crust through the collection, examination, measurement, or classification of soils, minerals, rocks, or fossil remains.
      • Assess ground or surface water movement to provide advice regarding issues such as waste management, route and site selection, or the restoration of contaminated sites.
      • Locate and estimate probable natural gas, oil, or mineral ore deposits or underground water resources, using aerial photographs, charts, or research or survey results
